LEAVING SOMETHING FOR THE SAKE OF ALLAH SWT

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله

This is one my favourite clip by Syeikh Kamal El Mekki...well my kids love them to. But jokes aside, how much are we willing to give up something for the sake of Allah swt or to get closer to Him? From something which are prohibited or even from mubahat (permissible things) that does not or little benefit us.

And especially for the tolibil ilm, we usually hears alot of complaints of not enough time, too busy to revise, so many things to do but so little time, the kutub is too thick and very hard to understand and takes time to read, my work and family drain off my time that I am too tired to open a book or do any assignment and many many more excuses. Frankly we know deep inside our little hearts that these are just excuses and no matter how much we justified them , they are still excuses and not more than excuses. How can we read newspapers from front to back (and even the obituaries) but no time to read the Quran and Kutubal Ilm. How can we have time to surf the net and no time to google for kutubul ilm and read it or hear a good lectures?

And InshaAllah if we leave something for the sake of Allah swt, in shaAllah He will replace it with something much much more benefit for us in this world and the Hereafter. May Allah swt give me the strength to leave the things which cause displeasure to Him. Amin

Akhiran, wa min husni islamil maryi an tarkuhu ma la ya'nihi...and from the perfection/goodness of islam of a man is leaving things which does not concern him.
